The Vision

The owner wanted to convert the attic of their 1940’s home in Broad Ripple, in Indianapolis, Indiana to make the space an open bedroom concept for their younger college brother and hired Modern Touch Contracting to create the space.

The Solution

Modern Touch Contracting removed the fold up attic stairs and installed a full staircase for ease of access to the new space.  The plaster walls were removed, the walls extended to make the room bigger, and then framed and drywalled to create smooth new walls.   The room contained no windows, so 2 windows were installed.  A walk-in closet was added and iron railing installed around the open floor around the staircase.

Wooden plank flooring was installed throughout the bedroom.   A full bathroom was installed with ceramic tile flooring, a soaker tub, freestanding vanity with marble countertop, and a subway tiled shower to create a beautiful and stylish bathroom.
