The Vision
The owner of a 3-story condo in one of the most sought after areas of Downtown Indianapolis hired Modern Touch Contracting to modernize their home. The owner’s vision was an updated kitchen, masterbath, the white oak floors sanded with a darker stain, and to have the open basement closed off to make an office.
The Solution
The kitchen’s old laminate countertops were removed and the white oak kitchen cabinets were sanded and painted. A contemporary farm house sink was added, a beautiful Quartz countertop installed and modern fixtures added to complete the look. The flooring throughout the kitchen and first floor was sanded and stained a dark finish to give a more modern feel. The carpet from the stairs was removed and the steps were stained to match the flooring throughout the first floor and the baseboards painted winter white.
The Master bathroom was retiled with ceramic tile, a stand up shower was additionally tiled, modern vanities with Quartz countertops added, and the room painted to give a more modern look.
The basement was closed off with drywall, painted, and sliding glass barn doors were made to give a classic and elegant look.
