The Vision
The homeowners of this newer home in Westfield, Indiana wanted to make a few finishing updates to their home and contacted multiple general contractors before deciding upon Modern Touch Contracting. They wanted a contractor who would listen to their goals of adding additional space in their kitchen and updating their fireplace while sticking to their budget.
The Solution
Modern Touch Contracting worked with the client on their goals for the kitchen and living room. The client’s existing fireplace was a tiled brick that was painted white and was starting to chip. Modern Touch Contracting removed the brick tile and installed a gray tile that matched the rest of their living room decor. To give the fireplace a higher-end look, a real wood mantel was installed.
The client also had the goal of creating more countertop space in their kitchen. Modern Touch installed Joanna Gaines-inspired custom floating shelving. The extra shelving allowed the client to easily move appliances off of the counter onto shelving freeing up the much-valued countertop space. Modern Touch additionally painted the kitchen and installed a new gray backsplash that fit into the rest of the homes decor.
