The client moved from Arizona to Indianapolis, Indiana to be closer to their grown children and wanted to modernize the house they recently purchased. Their vision was to make the house feel like their previous home in Arizona with an open feel concept. They want to have an entertaining space for friends and family to make lasting memories.
Modern Touch Contracting first started by taking out the load-bearing wall between the living room and kitchen and put in a support beam in the house structure, so you do not visually see the beam. Luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the house except for the bedrooms where the existing hardwood floors remained.
The kitchen, which resides in the middle of the home, was designed and installed with entertainment in mind. The kitchen sink used to reside on the exterior wall on the back of the house and was moved into the center island with a dishwasher next to it to allow the home owners to cook, clean, and entertain at the same time.
The kitchen and dining room were redesigned. One window was removed and replaced with kitchen cabinets. The small dining room window was replaced with a larger window.
The white cabinets have soft-close features, a built-in trash can, an appliance garage, and the cabinets are embellished with handles. A stunning Quartz countertop rests on top of the cabinets to complete the look.
