The client reached out to Modern Touch Contracting to design and build an in-law suite. Their goal was to make use of the existing home structure and create the additional space in their attic. The attic was not being used and only contained insulation.
The Solution
Modern Touch Contracting worked with the client on their goals for the project. The project involved reinforcing the attic floor to support the new living area, installing insulation and drywall, installing a ductless mini-split, and adding a new window to bring in natural light. Modern Touch Contracting also incorporated a full bathroom, bedroom, and closet space to maximize the functionality of the space. The end result was a comfortable, self-contained living area that seamlessly blended with the rest of the home, providing the perfect solution for multi-generational living.
