The Vision
The client contacted Modern Touch Contracting to create a basement area for friends to come over and hang out and also increase the resale value of the home in this Indianapolis trendy neighborhood. The client started the demo and removed the wood paneling on walls and discovered some mold issues. The layout of the basement needed to be changed as the laundry room was in the middle of the room, there was a tiny bathroom where the drainage wasn’t going to sewage, but was going to an elevated tank first.
The Solution
Modern Touch Contracting finished the demo, reframed the walls into a usable place, remediated the mold, painted the concrete floors. In addition, they moved the laundry room and made a combo laundry room and bathroom. The sink, toilet, and built-in shower were properly plumbed. This made a huge transformation that doubled the size of space in the home and allowed the client to use the space as a party pad with friends.
