The Vision
The homeowners wanted to expand their Carmel home with an additional garage space for another vehicle while gaining valuable attic storage above. Just as important as the added space was making sure the new garage looked like it had always been part of the home. The goal was a practical addition that blended seamlessly with the existing garage and exterior.
The Solution
Modern Touch Contracting designed and built the new garage addition to closely match the home’s original architecture and finishes. Stone removed during construction was carefully reused on the front of the addition, while matching siding and white exterior finishes helped tie the new structure into the rest of the home.
Inside, the new garage provides plenty of room for an additional vehicle while also creating valuable attic storage for items that don’t need to be kept in the main living areas of the home. Two windows were added to bring natural light into the space, while energy-efficient LED lighting keeps the garage bright and functional day or night. A new automatic garage door provides easy access and completes the addition with the same everyday functionality as the home’s original garage.
